SHI EUROPE HOSTS CEO SUMMIT TO STRENGTHEN COLLABORATION AND DRIVE GROWTH

Sumitomo Heavy Industries Europe Subsidiaries Ceo Summit

Sumitomo Heavy Industries (Europe) has hosted a CEO Summit at its headquarters in Amsterdam, bringing together senior leaders from across the region. Eight of the nine core SHI European businesses responsible for their 64 sub-subsidiaries participated in the event - the second time all European CEOs have convened since SHI (Europe) was established last year.

Shaun Dean, Executive Vice President of Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd., and Managing Director of Sumitomo Heavy Industries (Europe), led the two-day summit. It provided a platform for in-depth discussions on business performance, future growth strategies, and the rapidly evolving industrial landscape. The event demonstrated the power of collaboration, reinforcing SHI Europe’s commitment to leveraging shared expertise and a unified vision for new opportunities.

“This gathering was a valuable opportunity for our European businesses executives to align on key priorities and explore new ways to innovate and grow,” said Shaun. “The conversations we had over these two days will help shape the future of SHI in Europe, ensuring we continue to deliver long-term success and sustainable growth.”

Strategic communication and cross border collaboration

With a strong emphasis on strategic communication and cross-border collaboration, the summit highlighted SHI Europe’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its market position and drive innovation across industries. The insights and connections forged during this event will play a crucial role in shaping the next phase of SHI’s journey in Europe.

As SHI Europe continues to expand its footprint, the outcomes of this summit will serve as a foundation for further collaboration and progress. By aligning on shared goals and strong leadership, SHI Europe remains committed to advancing technology, enhancing operational efficiency, and delivering high-value solutions to customers worldwide.

Shaun added, “As our ‘Purpose’ states, our role is to ‘enhance society and those within it with compassion through our ownership and vision.’ The summit provided another opportunity to emphasise the significance of this in everything we do as a business and for businesses. We bear an important responsibility.”
